Lois Strickler Foley ~ December 14, 1933 ~ September 5, 2024 (age 90)
Lois was a beloved Hill and Valley Garden Club member since 1990. She was club President in 1996 and 2005. Lois also served in other Committees during her membership with the club, and was always modest about her wonderful contributions to the club.
Lois could always be counted on to supply her home for meetings, her flowers for special club events, her ideas for the club's endeavors, and her fields of "Sweet Annie" for the dried flower bundles at the Heritage Festival.
Lois was also a founding leader for the 4-H Junior Garden Club, "Bees & Buttercups", which she named and worked with for many years.
Over the years, Lois' involvement in the club diminished, but she was always happy to hear how the club was doing and that new people were joining to be part of the club's great works.

In Memory of Fran Gregory
Fran Gregory was a member of the HVGC since 2010 and served as the club's president from 2013 - 2014 and Chaplin for terms. Fran was always quick with a smile or a wry piece of witticism and was a master editor for all our HVGC needs.
She was a Master Gardener, a Red Hat Lady, The Luray Supper Club and a Luray Garden Club member and very active socially with her friends in Luray and Washington, DC.
Fran loved her cat, her favorite old movies, and being a member of the Rileyville Baptist Church.
